Reception Details: Solomon Kane, Van McFarland, Michael Young and Paula Hawkins invite the public to join them at Betz Art Gallery on Saturday June 27th from 6-9 pm to stretch their imaginations.

Guests are invited to join the artists as they explore surrealistic metaphysical symbolism, quantum physics, freedom and passion, life and death, color, energy and light reflected in the creation of their art.

The show runs June 27th through July 5th (the gallery will be closed on Saturday July 4th).

Solomon Kane paintings have their genesis in the 1960’s, but soar beyond that era. His work is both beautiful and thought provoking, capturing the imagination and the heart, while touching on universal truths.

Van McFarland elegant and colorful paintings draw from everyday life – from sports to garden parties, to interior views to landscapes. His work is thought provoking, touching on both the epic and ordinary themes of life and death.

Michael L. Young creates masterful photography that touches on iconic themes of everyday life and then adds a thought provoking twist to the viewer’s perceptions of reality.

Paula Hawkins combines realism with abstract impressionism to create works that are beautiful and symbolic, capturing color and light, imagination, time and mood while combining art and quantum physics.

The Artist's Saloon

The Artist's Saloon is presented by SpaceTaker and will be on the 21st of May. Sculptor Troy Stanely, Writer Raj Mankad and Solomom Kane will each be speaking about our respective works. Solomom Kane will discuss Mental Illness, Religious Philosophy, and he will open his Psychedelic Philosophic Studio to the public after the talk.

Well we raised $258.00 for the Adult and Children's Volunteer Services of the Harris County Psychiatric Center. We lost count of the crowd somewhere at the point between 400-500 and considering that this was Memorial weekend, it was a pretty good turnout. The Houston Press had a photographer there filming Vonetta's ABC Body Art models and One art rep told Heidi that she bought a painting because she wanted to have one before I became famous. She is either as delusional as I am or she has great insight, but either way the turnout was good enough for us to have a closing party on June 7Th. For anyone who was out of town for the holiday and who might be curious about metaphysical psychedelic philosophic art, you now have a second chance. Please come by 327 W. 19Th Street on June 7Th from 7pm to 9pm for a last look at some uniquely strange art and refreshments. Call H Gallery at 713-426-2414 for directions or questions.
